Yeast? Carbs? Die-off?

Forums:

I need a little help!..well alot actually :)  I am experiencing these sensations to my skin that were my very first symptoms years ago.  I was told by a Holistic practitioner that it was yeast overload.  It feels like a burning sensation on the top layer of my skin and my face and head.  Also my tongue burns and feels numb at times.  It gets pretty overwhelming especially when I lay down at night.  I'm also having burning itching on the outer part of the rectum.  Also really struggling with the concentration and memory.  I even missed my appt with Boaz last week - which left me in tears...I

Carbs

Forums:

Hi everyone,

Even though i have been doing well since the baby was born five months ago, i do still have lingering symptoms and recently some old symptoms returned (that i didn't have for months and months). I started to think about why. Why am i not completely balanced yet? Is it pizza dough containing yeast once a week? Too many agave treats? The fact that i added gluten back in?

The higher the discipline, the worse it gets?!

Does anyone else feel that over time, the more strict they've gotten with the diet or the more care they take, things seemed to have gotten worse. Maybe it's just coincidental but I feel that way. Maybe I've become more aware. I remember when I was first diagnosed with IC I could eat so much more without feeling negative changes in symptoms.

Anyhow, I was told to cut out chilli, spices etc so I did and now if I have pepper I feel like I've eaten raw chilli!

Appointment Spacing

Forums:

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that apparently there is a new office policy regarding appointments. Today I was told you need to have monthly appointments with Matia, which is a change from the three month maximum between appointments. Not sure how this will shake out, but I was surprised when I heard. So...for your planning purposes, there is a new policy.

questions during phone appointments

Forums:

I was having a conversation with another patient and she asked me if I always used my entire 30minutes with dr boaz.  It got me thinking.  When I am feeling poorly I tend to use the entire appointment time however when I am feeling good I usually run out of things to say at about the 20 minute mark.  I would love to know some questions that you like to ask when you have extra appointment time or things that you like to discuss with dr brizman.  I need some ideas please so that I can make the most of my 30 minutes.
