Nervous about dental appointment

Forums:

I am heading to the dentist tomorrow to get a crown removed, decay cleaned out, and fitted for a new crown.  Dr. B has encouraged me to go ahead and get this done because my X-rays showed decay and the dentist said to do it now before the decay hits the root.  I don't have to worry about antibiotics being used because that isn't protocol with this procedure.

100% Natural, single ingredient spray tan for after treatment!!

Forums:

This is pretty cool/exciting. Might not last long on face because we scrub/exfoliate/moisturize there.

I would ask Dr. B when you can try this. Even though it is a single, LIST 2 ingredient, you are putting it on skin so it goes into your blood stream right away so may be too strong till later/after treatment.

OK, are you curious? What is the single ingredient and how do you apply it? ;)

Dog

Forums:

We've been thinking about getting a dog for a while. I found that there are two opinions about pets and compromised health patients. Some People believe that having a dog in the house opens a door to ticks in the house, therefore increases chances of infecting and RE--infecting(!) with Lyme. The other group (Mimi mentioned it here, I believe) of the opinion that dog in the house increases exposure to different intestinal flora, therefore it is good.

Do you have a dog? How does having a pet effects your healing? Thank you!

Headache after dental work

Forums:

Anybody else get a headache after going to the dentist?  I got my teeth cleaned yesterday, and today I have a massive headache.  The same thing happened when I had a crown put on a couple years ago.  This never used to happen before!

i have to have a crown removed and a new one put on in a couple weeks. Not really looking forward to it.  At least my bladder is doing fairly well!

My sunscreen - approved by Dr. B. I think it's good for acne prone and fair skin.

Forums:

I had a reaction to the Bomasense sunscreen so I decided to make my own. I just use zinc oxide and jojoba oil. Zinc oxide is what protects you from the sun, and it also helps with acne and rashes. It hasn't done anything really for my acne, although because I am fair skinned it acts kind of like a nice foundation. It does leave a whiteness on your skin which is actually helpful I find on problem areas because it lightens the bright red patches if you have them.

Vitamins B12, E and C

Forums:

After a blood check-up my doctor urged me to take vitamin B12 as I am severly deficient. I first took pills but owing to IC flare decided to use injections, once a month. Can those injections cause a flare or aggravate my flare?

I also am taking for years now vitamin E, again the question is should I continue with it (I have twichy legs at night)? I tried magnesium but it aggravated my flare.

The diet Dr. Bizman suggests it totally without dairy how do I get my vitamin C and calcium?
