Just Diganosed with IC NEED ANSWERS!!

Forums:

I was just recently diagosed with IC this past Friday. I have been hurting for the past two weeks and wasn't sure what was going on. I still don't know what to think or feel. I really would like to know one thing for those people who have had this problem for awhile, does anyone feel that changing your diet really helps? Does working out help and getting physical therapy help? Please answer these questions for me. I have no idea who to turn to.

Thanks,

Ashley

Comparison

Forums:

need some comparisons desperately.  Although I've been concentrating on getting the body better balanced I'd neglected that the bladder needs to heal.  I'm so used to feeling pain once the bladder is full that I think of it as normal.  At the beginning of the diet  (8 months ago) it improved dramatically - it would seem I've moved forward on the diet far too quickly and the odd cheats may be more detrimental than I realised..  Hope someone replies..

Morning campers - me again

Forums:

I'm on a roll of questions seeking answers at the moment but once I'm happy I shall toddle off and deal with this disease in my own little way..

My latest query is about my bladder capacity which has more or less halved and is the same amount everytime I go.  Going back to that nasty cystoscopy procedure (some 3 years ago), the surgeon only managed to fill it to 400ml (this is while I was under aneasthetic) he said normal capacity is at least twice that.

Getting Pregnant

Forums:

So if you have read any of my other post, you will know that I'm 19 and married with IC for 5 years.

My husband is 29 and we have been very activly trying to have a baby for 9 months now.

Yes, the pain with sex is excruciating, often times to the point of tears. But I love my husband more than anything and want to have sex with him. After being married for a while we decided we wanted to try to have a baby. 9 months later, we are still trying with no luck.

Working and Jobs

Forums:

I have had IC since I was 14, I am now 19 and have not been able to keep a job because of IC.

I got fired from a job back in May because no one was there to cover me when I had to run to the restroom. It was either that or pee myself in front of a line of people in a small town. I am not willing to lose everything over a job.

How do people do it? Keep jobs with IC? The pain is intense. I cant get out of bed half the week because of it. I can usually walk around town for at most an hour of the day. Standing and walking are the worst for me.

A Newcomer

Forums:

Hi there!

I'm Kay, I've had IC since I was 14, I am 19 now.

I was not diagnosed correctly until I was 19. And goodness is it good to know I am not alone. I feel like I grew up to fast because of this disease. I graduated high school at 15 because it became so bad that I was wetting myself in public. I have not been able to hold a job for more than 2 months in my entire life. Standing and walking are the worst for me. Lounging with my legs crossed is my comfort zone.

Ear Problems

Forums:

Anyone with a history of ear problems have this come up during treatment?  I feel like my hearing ability has decreased, and my 6 month check ups (i had a serious set of surgeries as a kid and need my ears checked often); I'm always told my ear drums are retracted.  I'm about to go for a hearing test and I'm so nervous.  This regression has been going on for me for over 2 years.

I am in my first trimester and its an unexpected pregancy. Not all my bladder urethra pain was gone . I would say I wasn't getting the go ahead. I never even saw myself as a Mom. I thought gee all this time getting well by the time I get there its time for me. Well no it's not ! I am scared out of my mind and I have had so much nausia it's not even funny. Matia has given me a few things to try for it but so far not helping at all. I can't leave my house again now bc I keep puking. I am only 8 weeks my bladder hates me. Anyone shine some light here for me.
