Thyroid and IC

Forums:

Hi Ladies

I have IC, been a patient for a while, and was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.  I am on a very small does of liothyronine (cytomel) and it is inflaming my bladder so much I can't stay on it.  I was wondering if anyone on here has IC and a thyroid issue and how you manage both.

Thanks

a little support

Forums:

Hi all,

I am reaching out since I feel in need of some support.

Since starting to see Matia, I have had trouble sticking to the diet 100%.  I get to 90% but can't quite manage to never cheat. I have a business lunch that I can't avoid (I order something I think will be benign, but lord knows what's in it), or eat something that is forbidden without thinking.  I also recently found out that some of the products (lotion, shampoo) I used for quite some time were contributing to my irritation.

Yellow teeth

Forums:

My teeth haven't been bleached in two years do to treatment.  Do you guys have any tricks for making your teeth look good?   Sometimes, I wonder how long it would take me to recover from using crest white strips.  I am going to resest the tmeptsation :o)

80year old body

Forums:

Much as I've tried to ignore the fact, since starting list 1 the skin on my body has become very wrinkly - the sort of wrinkly I'd expect from someone who had gained then lost alot of weight.  I've only lost about 1/2 a stone and was only 9 stone to begin with.  I expect skin to age but at 36 would think there'd be more elasticity.

skin

Forums:

I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive face cream for moisturisation and as a base for makeup.  My skin is so sensitive on my face that I've developed red broken veins - I imagine from chemicals and heat.

I found this one, can anyone tell me if the ingredients are safe please?

Aqua, Aloe Vera Gel, Korean Ginseng, Potenised® Calendula extract, Vegetable Glycerine, Sunflower wax, Rose petal fragrance.

I would buy the bomamed stuff but can't afford the shipping costs..

Sleep/botox/ desperate

Forums:

Hi all. Need some advice. I'm seriously considering having botox injections in my bladder so I can get some sleep at night. As I'm sure most who read my posts know that my insomnia is a bigger problem than my IC and both chase each other round in a vicious circle. I've tried everything but even when I'm sleeping well I'm constantly woken by the need to wee at night and have been for years - I just can't catch up on years of missed nights. Don't know what to do and I'm desperate.

vertigo and anxiety

Forums:

It has been a while since I last wrote something.  As far as my bladder goes, things have been going very well.  Do not give up ladies.  I have been working on this for over 3 years and I have gotten alot better.  Unfortunatley, I am experiencing bouts of dizziness and anxiety.  I am wearing a holter monitor to check my heart to make sure everything there is ok.  I am not sure why I am feeling this way since I was doing so well in all aspects of my health.  What do you all do for vertigo or severe anxiety?  I know many of you feel anxious sometimes and do not use meds.  Are there some good

Pain after exercise

Forums:

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had experienced a flare following exercise?  For the past year, I have been sticking to gentle exercise, such as yoga, walking and the occassional run. Recently, I felt well enough to re-join my rec league soccer team. Since playing a few days ago, I have been bloated and flaring, with muscle soreness and pain down my left leg.

Has anyone else experienced this? I trying to determine if the flare is from exercise, or something else.

Thanks in advance.
